Russian kiters were the first in the world to make a kiteboard-crossing through the Yucatan Channel and set a world record
1888PressRelease – Russian kiters have finished the most challenging kiteboard-crossing from Cuba to Mexico through the Yucatán Channel. Its participants covered a distance of 231 km and 250 m within 11 hours 19 minutes. An average speed over the duration of the crossing was equal to 20.4 km per hour.
